Vancouver’s Wardrobe is an ongoing project that started with a curiosity around why people wear what they wear, and the stereotypes that arise from those choices. What we wear on a daily basis says a lot about our constructed personas. This artist book takes a voyeuristic look into people’s lives & creates anonymous portraits of those living in Vancouver. The photographs & the questionnaire responses raise queries of consumptions, globalization, consumerism, stereotypes, and the personal information of each individual. All participants have to be over the age of 16 & live in the Vancouver area.
Thank you to all of the participants for your time & trust. Without it, this project would have never materialized. If you are interested in participating please contact me by e mail.
I will be in Europe May 8th-June 31st, and will be taking photographs Of wardrobes and updating them onto my new blog as I travel across europe. The photos and information obtained will be used for an artist book and potentially gallery showing
